Film Scholarships 2022-2023
Need-based tuition assistance is designed for applicants with financial needs to help reduce the cost of education in New York Film Academy’s long-term programs, including the year-long Conservatory programs. and two-year programs, as well as the AFA, BA, BFA, MA, and MFA degree programs. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must demonstrate a credible need through documentation such as tax returns or bank statements. Applicants must also submit an essay describing their needs and accomplishments.
Merit Tuition Award The New York Film Academy’s Merit Tuition Award offers financial assistance to qualified candidates for the university’s Bachelor of Arts and Fine Arts degree programs. Recipients must demonstrate a history of academic achievement, as well as leadership, community service, and a commitment to the arts.
To be eligible for the Merit Tuition Scholarship, candidates must be accepted into a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts program. Applicants are evaluated based on information provided in the admissions process, including high school GPA and documentation of leadership roles, awards, community service, or involvement in the arts.

Film Scholarships for African Students 2022-2023
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and La Fémis come together annually to offer a summer program aimed at foreign film and television students, as well as young professionals in the film industry, who wish to develop their practical and theoretical knowledge of the making documentaries in France.
The university summer program lasts for 9 weeks of intensive classes 5 days a week. It welcomes a maximum of 15 students from different countries: North Africa, Africa, Chile, Russia, India, Iran, Afghanistan, Egypt…
Students follow 3 weeks of classes, including many film screenings. These classes are taught by professionals who teach at La Fémis on the following topics: the reality of filming, writing, script structure, directing and shooting documentaries, script development, distribution of foreign films in France, French financing of foreign co-productions, and the economic and institutional framework of French cinema.
The participants are selected jointly by the cultural services of the French embassies, the Director of Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, and representatives of La Fémis on the applications and a film directed by the applicants.
