Huawei predicts that by 2030, autonomous vehicles will account for 20% of new car sales in China, and electric vehicles will account for more than 50% of new vehicle sales.

Huawei hosted the 2030 Smart World Forum with industry experts. Accordingly, David Wang, CEO and President of IT Products & Solutions, Huawei, announced the smart world 2030 report with the keynote speech on exploring the smart world 2030.

The Smart World Forum 2030 is the first time Huawei has systematically shared research and insights into the next decade.

The forum was attended by many important guests such as the famous futurist Steven Johnson, founder and rotating president of the World Electric Vehicle Association Chen Qingquan…

At the forum David Wang announced the smart world report 2030, proposing eight multidisciplinary, multi-professional orientations for exploration at the macro level.

The report explains how ICT technologies can solve the problems and challenges important to human development and what new opportunities can be presented to organizations and individuals.

At the industry level, the report explores the technologies and future directions of communication networks, computing, digital power, and smart automotive solutions.

Specifically, in the next decade, electrification and intelligence will be unstoppable and ICT technologies will converge with the automotive industry

The auto industry will see the development of smart driving, smart spaces, smart services, and smart operations. Huawei hopes to use its ICT technologies to promote a smart car industry and help automakers build better vehicles.

Smart driving is the use of technologies such as autonomous driving to significantly reduce traffic accident rates while providing an efficient and seamless commuting experience for users.

Smart driving has so far been mainly limited to closed roads such as highways and campus roads, but gradually it will be applied more and more on public roads, such as those in the city urban area.

Vehicles will become a new intelligent space. With the help of ICT, technologies such as AI, biometric recognition, in-vehicle optical sensors, and AR/VR will bring new features to the cockpit.

Smart cars will truly transform from a flexible mobile space into a smart living space that integrates the virtual and physical worlds. Huawei predicts that, by 2030, autonomous vehicles will account for 20% of all new cars sold in China.

Also in the David Wang report published in 2030, we will be able to identify potential health problems by computing and modeling public health and medical data, shifting the focus from treatment to prevention. Precision medical solutions powered by IoT and AI will become a reality.

By 2030, climate-free vertical farms will be adopted on a large scale, so that we can make green food available to everyone. 3D printing will make it possible for us to create artificial meat to meet our nutritional needs.

By 2030, as technologies such as XR, naked-eye 3D display, digital touch, and digital smell develop further, “digital vision, digital touch and digital smell” will create immersive and disruptive experiences through next-generation networks.

At the same time, as telecommunications networks evolve from connecting billions of people to hundreds of billions of things, network design will change from focusing on human perception to machine perception.

We will see the emergence of multi-level computing infrastructure for hundreds of billions of things and massive data, as well as computing networks that provide connectivity. In addition, four scenarios for future telecommunications networks will gradually become reality.

They are telecommunications networks that will deliver a consistent experience for homes, offices, and vehicles, satellite broadband Internet,

The Smart World Forum 2030 is the first time Huawei has systematically shared research and insights into the next decade. This knowledge sharing will bring great value to social development, especially for global digital transformation and the digital economy.
